At The North Pointe
Church, your child's safety matters
to us!
That is why we go
to great lengths to ensure your child is in a "safe" &
"secure" environment. Each Discovery Zone Team Leader is
trained on Safety & Security Procedures and all workers have been
screened for your child's protection.
Once you are a
regular Attender, you and your child/children will receive a "bar-coded
- Check in Photo Badge" Your child will where his/her badge
with Mom & Dad's photo while in the Discovery Zone. This badge
contains important information, like Allergies & Alternate Child
Pick Up names. This safety measure guarantees that your child
stays with a Discovery Team Member until an authorized pickup person
arrives.

Our room leaders will read Bible stories, sing
praise
and worship songs, make crafts, and facilitate group
activities with your child while you enjoy the worship
service.
Please label any toys or items your child
brings in
clearly. Please indicate at the registration desk if your
child is potty trained or in diapers and we will mark
their badge accordingly. It is always a good idea to
take your child to the bathroom just before checking
in. Also, let our rooms leaders know if there are any
special concerns regarding newly potty trained
children so they may check frequently for breaks. We
DO provide fruit juice and snacks such as pretzels and
goldfish. If there are any allergy concerns, please
alert the desk and kindly provide a snack alternative.
We never serve snacks with nuts due to this more
common allergy among children.
We
wash our linens and sanitize our toys after each
service. If your child has a runny nose, temperature,
skin rash, or has the appearance of ill health, please
do not check them into the DZ. Our room leaders are
made up of caring parents and volunteers that have
had background checks. We have several nurses and
parents that know CPR and are ready in case they are
needed in an emergency.
Please
feel free to drop in and check on your child
anytime! If you are a regular attendee or member we
have a calendared schedule available for you to sign
up to help serve in your child’s class or another area
of the Discovery Zone. Our parents are faithful to our
children’s ministry and work together wonderfully to
make the DZ a great place for NPC kids to feel cared
for and learn about Jesus!
