September 4, 2005 The North
Pointe Church initiated a partnership for a Hurricane
Katrina Disaster Relief Response Team, between The North
Pointe Church - New Tampa, Skycrest Baptist Church & Calvary
Baptist Church - Clearwater, FL. called upon these church families to "bring a cup of cool
water, in Jesus name" to the survivors of Hurricane Katrina.
To date, over $17,000 has been donated to this effort.
This amount is growing daily.

On September 8, 2005:
Volunteers from The North Pointe Church delivered over 10
Ton's of first response provision items directly to a
Disaster Supply Staging area in Bogalusa, Mississippi.
The response items included: bottled water, baby diapers,
baby wipes, baby food, paper towels & toilet paper along an
entire pallet of first aide kits.
The North Pointe Church thanks,
Bill Currie Ford for the generous donation of 2 box
trucks and covered trailers for this caravan. Thank you to
Complete Development Inc. for provided the diesel fuel for
the trip.
It's not too late to send
your contribution to join in this community response to
this National Disaster. The North Pointe Church
commits that every dollar "designated" for Hurricane relief
WILL be sent directly to the Hurricane Disaster Supply
Center for distribution.
