TARGET AREA FOR NEW
CHURCH
The target area is Tampa Palms along the Bruce B. Downs
corridor north to Highway 54 and the Wesley Chapel Community.
Specific targets for Life Groups to meet include Pebble
Creek, Cross Creek, Tampa Palms, New Tampa Hunters Green,
Seven Oaks, Lexington Oaks, Meadow Pointe, and Grand Oaks.
METHODOLOGY
The Purpose Driven Church model focused to serve young couples
and families is our primary methodology. The
North Pointe Church will fully engage cutting edge means
to communicate the timeless message of Christ’s redemptive
love. The North Pointe Church will provide definite
challenges and clear mechanisms for people to move from
the commitment levels of; community, crowd, congregation,
and core ministry.
WORSHIP
The North Pointe Church worship style will be celebrative,
compassionate, loving, and offer a high level of acceptance
to “seekers”. The celebration of who we
are, or can be, in Christ will echo throughout all we do.
The North Pointe Worship Team will lead in high quality
and powerful music. A contemporary Bible translation will
be used in sharing “How To” high application
messages focused on the needs of young couples and families.
A North Pointe Church worship experience will point to the
timeless principles found in his Word to fulfill the purpose
he has for each life.
EVANGELISM
The North Pointe Church efforts in evangelism are to encourage
a lifestyle of sharing your faith rather than a unique ministry
function of a few or an event to attend. As stated
in the Great Commission The North Pointe evangelism thrust
will be to share Christ “as you go into all the world”.
Simple ways to share your faith effectively are offered
on a consistent basis.
DISCIPLESHIP
The North Pointe church will offer highly relevant messages
in worship time but discipleship and developing relationships
with other believers will be the primary function of Life
Groups. Currently Life Groups are forming in the Lexington
Oaks, Grand Oaks, USF campus, Tampa Palms, and Meadow Pointe
communities. We also offer a Long Term Illness Group
and a Law Enforcement Group. Location for these Life Groups
will be primarily community centers located in all the housing
developments of the target area. These are not only
geographically strategic but also provide a non-threatening
location for “seekers” and saved alike.
